Passion or Just Going through the Motions
Buy a journal and begin to write. It’s one of the best ways to unclog your subconscious and show you new pathways.
Take time out each day to meditate. Even just 15 minutes a day will clear your mind and let the real issues float through.
Think about what brought you passion in the past. Were you a keen surfer? Did you get involved in university politics? By revisiting those interests, you may relight that spark.
Adapt your old passions to the new you. If you did love politics, maybe it’s time to volunteer at your local council. Or if you loved to paint, enrol for lessons at a community college and pull out those brushes!
Each day try to look anew at your job/partner/children/home. Think about what drew you to them in the first place and focus on that.
Ask yourself:
If I could be doing anything in the world right now, what would give me a greater sense of fulfilment and happiness? Write down your immediate response – don’t worry about being practical or realistic – and then put a plan into place to make it happen.
"Todays sinner is tomorrow's saint. And todays saint is yesterdays sinner."
